Making Waves

Participatory Action Research Training for Community Learning and Outreach Managers: Foundations & Practice: Parts 1, 2, and 3

Below is the complete slide deck of the three-part training for the Making Waves Field Study's Community Learning & Outreach Managers. Please do not share this webpage. It is not intended for public dissemination or use.
Making Waves is a participatory action research field study that builds on Clemmons Family Farm's prior research, including Beneath Our Skin and How Are We Doing?.  The study aims to understand what it takes to help under-represented artists, including those of the African diaspora, to thrive in Vermont.  Utilizing an arts-integrated mixed-method approach, this new study investigates how cross-sectoral strategies can improve social capital, wellness, and health equity outcomes for artists in rural and predominantly white environments. The study will generate practical tools and recommendations for organizations working in the arts, public health, and social justice to collaborate effectively to achieve these improved outcomes.
The Participatory Action Research Training for Community Learning and Outreach Managers and this slide deck were funded by The Wallace Foundation through a grant to Clemmons Family Farm, Inc.  Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of Clemmons Family Farm, Inc. and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Foundation.
